Team Shaw Professional Development Center (PDC)

The PDC offers a variety of professional development and enhancement courses for Shaw AFB. These courses include but are not limited to Air Force strategic writing, leadership and management curriculums.

First Term Airman Center (FTAC)

The FTAC provides a structured program to transition Airmen from a training mindset to a mission-oriented environment. The FTAC transitions an average of 450 Airman annually from Shaw and McEntire ANGB.

Career Assistance Advisor (CAA)

The CAA assists Airmen with professional enhancement and informed decision making, shaping tomorrow’s Air Force. Additionally, the CAA helps supervisors with counseling enlisted personnel on retraining, special duties, reenlistments and AF benefits. The CAA also develops, supervises, and manages local retention and professional enhancement courses.

SMSgt David B. Reid
Airman Leadership School (ALS)

Mission: Prepare SrA to be professional, warfighting Airmen who can supervise and lead AF work teams to support the employment of air, space and cyberspace power.

ALS trains an average of 350 students per year from Shaw, Ft. Gordon, Ft. Stewart and McEntire ANG Base.
