Who’s ready to shuck and eat 80,000 pounds of oysters?! The Lowcountry Oyster Festival in Mount Pleasant, SC is the world’s largest oyster festival and has been named one of the “top 20 events in the Southeast”. Highlights include the legendary “oyster shucking” and “oyster eating” contests, live music on the main stage, wines, a selection of domestic and imported beers, a children’s area complete with pony rides and jump castles, and a “food court” showcasing a variety of local restaurants. Only $35 per person and includes round-trip transportation and entry fee to the festival. Trip departs from the parking lot across from Bowling Center at 8:00 a.m on January 25, 2015.
