Visitor's Quarters and Temporary Lodging
New visitor’s quarters (VQs) and temporary lodging facilities (TLFs) include 6 business suites, 7 two bedroom TLFs and 11 VQs to our facilities. The new TLFs and business suites offer in-room laundry equipment for your convenience. With the addition of new quarters we also offer a fitness room on property.
Business Center
Our state of the art business center located in the main lobby area has several complimentary items for our guest. From coffee to Wi-Fi, we are improving our equipment and services to make your stay a great experience. Our business center is equipped with 2 computers and 1 printer for your convenience, as well as Wi-Fi for laptops. Wi-Fi is also available in our rooms. Carolina Pines Inn has the best complementary coffee assortment at Shaw! We offer a variety of regular and decaf coffee, tea and hot chocolate, suiting almost anyone’s taste.

As the world changes on a daily basis we are adapting our services to complement your needs. In the early part of January 2012 we implemented a new lodging software system that revolutionized the way we care for our guest. This new systems allows us to send you an email confirmation about your reservation and the option for you to visit our website www.dodlodging.net here you may use your DTS (Defense Travel System) application to make a reservation with us. Please try to make your reservations 24-48 hours prior to arrival. If you are unable to do so, please call 803-895-3803 and then choose option “0” to speak to one of our excellent customer service representatives to confirm that your reservation has made it into our system. The Carolina Pines Inn served over 32K guests last year. Beginning in January and lasting through the end of the year we have an exciting opportunity for our guests. We have developed a program where we invite our guests to identify where they are coming from on a map located in the main lobby area!. Carolina Pines Inn has the privilege of offering our guests excellent customer service 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. People from across the nation and the world visit Shaw. Some even get to call this base their new home. It is our intent to show just how diverse our guest population is and how our Airmen, retirees, and civilian counterparts impact the Air Force’s global mission on a daily basis.
