The Librarian Corner: Book feature of the Month Update

Hey readers! We're almost there, for those of you who haven't kept up, here is a quick review of Part 1 Chapters 1 -3, and Part 2 Chapters, 4-7.
Part 1 provided us an outline for getting control of your life through the five stages of mastering workflow: collection, processing, organizing, reviewing and doing.
Part 2, which is well over half the book, goes much more into detail of Allen's methodology. Allen tells us in Chapter 1 that "new behaviors and tools are required to successfully manage our everyday workflow."
Chapter 2 explains the five stages of mastering your workflow: to collect, process, organize, review and do while Chapter 3 focal point was planning.
Chapter's 4 thru 7 gets you started with preparing space and time before collecting your stuff before deciding what to do with it. Once processing is complete, one needs a way to organize the output.
So, we move on to Chapter 8, 9 and 10 where Allen states that a "person is the most productive when the mind is clear, free of what he calls "open loops." His idea is that the conscious mind is a focusing tool, not a storage place."

Stay tuned, to Part Three and the conclusion and of Getting Things Done:
The Art of Stress-Free Productivity from the Librarian Corner at McElveen Library. Books, DVDs, CD and Play-a-Away are available for check out.
