The Air Force Club Membership Scholarship Program can help you and your family with the cost of higher education. For the 15th year in a row, Air Force Clubs will offer $25,000 in scholarship funds. As club members, you and your family are encouraged to apply.
To apply, participants must submit a 500 words-or-less essay on a specified topic. The essay must be submitted on line (all rules and instructions can be found on the "2014 AF Clubs Scholarship Program Implementation Guide for Essay Entrants."
You must be a current Air Force Club member or dependent family member to participate. The applicant must also have been accepted by or enrolled in an accredited college/university for entry during the current year fall term as a part-time or full-time student. Applicants who are new students must provide a current college/university acceptance letter or a letter from the registrar's office stating that they are enrolled.
Scholarship entries will be accepted from 16 March thru midnight 15 April. No mailed essay/entries will be accepted. Winners will be announced 15 May. For additional information on Air Force Clubs Scholarships, read our FAQ.
The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has joined with the Department of Veterans Affairs and the Department of Defense to launch a training program for transitioning servicemembers and veterans called "Operation Boots to Business: From Service to Startup," to help them become entrepreneurs and create jobs. Through the Boots to Business initiative, servicemembers will learn the nuts and bolts of how to start and grow a business. They will also be introduced to the SBA's nationwide Resource Partner network for support throughout the lifecycle of their new business.
