Child Development Center Your
comments are important to us! Hours of Operation: Hourly Care is available at the CDC for children 12 months - 5 years old. The cost of care is $4.50 per hour. Reservations can be made up to 30 days in advance. For further information please call 895-2247. |
The Child Development Center (CDC) provides a variety of age-appropriate programs for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Programs include full-time weekly care, hourly care and respite care. The program is Air Force certified, meets compliance standards under the USDA Food Service Program and is nationally accredited by the National Academy of Early Childhood Programs, a division of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program focuses on developmentally appropriate practices for young children.
With today's hectic, fast-paced life-style, the need for quality hourly child care is more important than ever before. We have added the following to increase flexibility to our programs for today's needs:
- Allow families with medical appointments to make a request for hourly care as soon as their appointment is established.
- Take hourly care on a walk-in basis when available.
- Offer families the availability to make reservations for designated hourly care spaces up to four weeks in advance.
- Refer families who can't be served in the Child Development Center to the Family Child Care staff for assistance in finding hourly care.
It is important for families to remember once they have the reservation, they either need to use it or cancel it. If not, they will be charged the regular hourly fee for one hour after the first occurrence. In addition, the Child Development Center will not accept requests for hourly care from families who make reservations and display a pattern of not using them.
