Recreation operates the Falcons Nest Fam Camp, two Shaw pools, Skeet and Trap Range, Recreation Supply equipment checkout, and the base picnic grounds. In addition it provides trips, classes and a wide variety of outdoor recreational activities to serve military personnel, their dependents, DoD civilians and retirees.

Facilities and Services
The Famcamp provides 20 RV parking sites with full hook-ups including water, electric and sewage. A bath house with shower facilities is also available. The two Shaw swimming pools operate seven days a week for open swimming from May-September. Swimming lessons, water aerobics, lap swim and pool parties are also available. The Skeet and Trap Range provides skeet, trap and archery shooting. Intramural shooting, special events and a small inventory of supplies are available. Paint ball games and tournaments are offered throughout the year. The Recreation Supply checkout provides patrons with items ranging from boats, motors and trailers to barbecue grills and ice chests. We also sell hunting and fishing licenses. The base picnic grounds are located adjacent to Memorial Lake and includes a covered pavilion with barbecue grills and picnic tables, rest rooms and playground equipment. |

Recreational Vehicle Storage Lot:
A locked, fenced storage lot, located on the east side of the base near the skeet and trap range, is available for patron usage. Personal recreational vehicles (i.e. campers, boats, motor homes, and privately owned vehicles) may be stored by individuals that are going on temporary duty or permanent change of station, with a follow-on assignment back to Shaw. Individuals may register for use of this lot through the recreation supply office and individuals will be designated a parking spot number. Keys for the lot are controlled by outdoor recreation during normal duty hours and are available for checkout from the lodging desk after normal duty hours, with appropriate identification.

The Recreation Supply branch is collocated in the Outdoor Recreation
office. Items available for rent range from fishing boat packages,
campers, cargo trailers, motorized gardening equipment and tables
and chairs for banquets.
All rentals are available on a daily, weekend or weekly basis. We pride ourselves on providing everything you need for your recreational and gardening needs. Additionally, Recreation Supply sells hunting and fishing licenses.

Skeet & Trap

The skeet and trap range provides three skeet ranges, one trap range, and one rifle and pistol range. The range is a member of the South Carolina and National Skeet Shooting Associations. Skeet, trap, bow, and reloading lessons are available. Ammunition and reloads are available for purchase by customers. Intramural programs of skeet and trap are conducted, and up to 10 registered shoots are conducted each year. The range provides targets for skeet and rifle/pistol ranges, club guns for use by customers and a small clubhouse that offers a limited variety of beverages and fast-food items. The skeet and trap range also operates a paint ball program, which is located just off Condor Country Road on Skeet Road. The program provides all the equipment necessary for customer usage or individually owned equipment can be used. The two playing fields offer a wide variety of game scenarios. As well as established open play times, the program can also accommodate group and squadron functions. Paintball is available by reservation only with a 10 person minimum. The pro shop offers a complete line of paint, CO2, markers, and other related accessories, as well as a small selection of drinks and snacks.

Located
at 2-21 FamCamp Drive, Falcons Nest FamCamp is the newest top-of-the-line Famcamp in Air Combat Command. There are 20 ten-foot by 58-foot recreational vehicle sites complete with water, sewer and electrical hook-ups. Each site is accompanied by a 10-foot by 20-foot picnic pad with table and barbecue grill. Adjacent to the Famcamp is the Outdoor Recreation building. This 4,476 square-foot building is complete with a storage warehouse, recreation supply rental items, convenience store, showers, laundry room with internet access and campers lounge. For the convenience of campers a dump station is also located at the FamCamp. For customers added convenience, postal service is available at the Outdoor Recreation service counter. Properly stamped outgoing mail can be left at the Outdoor Recreation counter for delivery to the post office. The address for incoming mail is:
