**UPDATE!* We've received the 35% submittal drawings for the RV expansion/sewer project and it's looking pretty good. Base engineers are reviewing the plans and it looks like we'll get started some time after Labor Day! Per the contract, the completion is expected By January 2011.
Wateree Recreation Area is located in the heart of South
Carolina’s Olde English District, where the three large
river systems, Pee-Dee, Catawba-Wateree and Broad,
that once brought in settlers, now lure campers, picnickers
and fishermen alike! This 14,000-acre hydroelectric impoundment has a
190-mile shoreline. Situated on a peninsula of 25
pristine wooded acres, Wateree Recreation Area is
designed for the recreational enjoyment of military

To make reservations for cabins, pavilions, RV sites or Recreation Hall call our toll-free number 1-877-928-8373 or make reservations online (online reservations are not final until confirmed by Wateree Recreational Area).
Reservations for cabins may be made up to 90 calendar days in advance by active-duty military personnel. Retirees and all other authorized users may make reservations up to 60 calendar days in advance. Reservations are non-transferable. Cancellations are subject to a $15 processing fee. Payment is required at the time of the reservation. All other facilities, equipment and tent sites are on a first come, first serve basis.

Wateree Summer - Come for the lake stay for the fun!
Join us every Saturday, all summer long, for the "Shake-it-Baby"
Dusk Dance Party followed by Movies Under the Stars. Bring your camp chairs or blankets to enjoy family friendly movies shown outdoors on the big screen.
Saturday, August 21, 8-11 a.m. Children must provide their own fishing poles and cast, catch and reel in themselves. Limited adult help is allowed for children 4 and under. Only $10 per person includes bait, prizes, award ribbons and hot dog lunch! Register by August 16!!
Oldies Night
Saturday, September 18, 8 p.m.-1 a.m. in the Recreation Hall. Wear your poodle skirt, roll up your sleeves and be prepared to shake, rattle and roll! This is a FREE event for adults only (no children please). Bring a snack to share and BYOB!
German Night
Saturday, October 9, 6 p.m. in the Recreation Hall. Join us for a German Night celebrating everything we love about Germany! Oompah music, dancing, beer and wine tasting and an authentic German meal! $15 p/p + Cabin, RV site or on-site camper reservation.
Haunted Happenings
October 22-24! Friday night movie, Saturday costume contest, pumpkin carving contest, trick-or-treat, haunted trail and more! Reserve your spot now! Only $10 per child + cabin, on-site camper or RV site reservation.
Oyster Roast
November 12-14! Karoake Friday night and Oyster Roast Saturday night featuring SC Beaufort Oysters with condiments and hot dogs for the kids! Oyster Roast only $10pp for adults and $5pp for childrren.
Who Killed Santa Claus?
Dec.10-12! Friday night holiday classic movie in the Rec Hall, Saturday dinner and murder mystery! Dinner features a traditional holiday meal of turkey, ham, side dishes and desserts! Cost is $15pp or $25 per couple + cabin, on-site camper or RV site reservation. Fun for the whole family! Each person has a part and by the end of the evening YOU might have solved the mystery!
New Years Eve Celebration
December 31, 8 p.m.-1 a.m. Join us as we ring in the New Year! Party the night away with "KRYSTAL," back by popular demand! Plus enjoy heavy hors d' oeuvres, a champagne toast and breakfast buffet at midnight! Only $15pp or $25 per couple + cabin, on-site camper or RV site reservation. Book 3 nights (Dec. 30-Jan. 1 or Dec. 31-Jan. 2) and the 1st 2 adults in your cabin or RV are FREE! Join us for a build-you-own chili bar in the Rec Hall Jan. 1st and enjoy all the bowl games on our 62" TV!
- Check-in time is 2 p.m.
- Check-out time is 11 a.m.
- All weekends require a 2-night minimum stay (Fridays/Saturdays/Sunday)
- Quiet hours are from 11 p.m.-7 a.m.
- Personnel are held responsible for damages
- Disorderly conduct and/or loud music resulting in an annoyance are prohibited
- NO LIFEGUARDS are on duty at the beach
- Fireworks, explosives and guns are prohibited
- Please limit all fires to grills and fire rings
- Use and consumption of keg beer must be approved through the manager
- Underage drinking is NOT tolerated under any circumstances
- All motorcyclists, bicyclists, and skateboarders must wear helmets
- Pets MUST be on a leash at all times
- Pets are NOT permitted on the beach
- Pet owners are expected to clean up all pet droppings

Kayaks - $10 per day
Pets are NOT permitted on boats.
